Tecan has opened its new Asia-Pacific region headquarters, in the heart of Shanghai's pharmaceutical and life science centre.
The opening of the regional headquarters will improve service and support for customers and distribution partners.
The office was opened by Thomas Bachmann, chief executive officer of the Tecan Group, on 28 October 2008 at a ceremony attended by customers from the region, major distributors, officials and representatives from Chinese provinces and the Swiss and Austrian embassies in China.
The Asia-Pacific headquarters will sell directly to multinational biotechnology, pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies flourishing in the area.
Tecan will support its distributors by providing training, warehousing of spare parts and improved services out of Shanghai.
