Matrical has introduced the Scan X 2D, an automation-friendly 2D barcode reader that can operate stand alone or in an automated environment.
The compact and user-friendly machine is able to operate in temperatures as low as -20C, allowing tubes to be read inside an automated sample management system and preserving sample integrity.
The Scan X 2D is able to read SBS/Ansi formatted vial racks (24 capacity) and tube microplates (96 and 384).
The Matriscan's optical lens scans one image of the entire rack allowing for quick turnaround time.
