The Pittsburgh Conference has announced 'Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS)' will be the topic of the twentieth annual James L Waters Annual Symposium.
The 2009 Waters Symposium, the twentieth annual Waters Symposium, will be presented at Pittcon 2009 (8-13 March 2009) in Chicago, Illinois, 9 March 2009.
The Waters Symposium will recognise the contribution of Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) to analytical chemistry.
The symposium's speeches will include: 'Near Infrared Spectroscopy: From Sleeper to Activist' by Peter Flinn of Kelspec Services; 'In the Beginning Was: Visible and IR Spectroscopy' by Karl Norris, from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA); 'NIR-A Journey in Learning' by Franklin Barton from the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) agency of the USDA; 'The Introduction of Near-Infrared Spectroscopy to the World of Commerce' by Phil Williams of PDK Grain; and 'Modern Applications of Near-Infrared Spectrometry' by Robert A Lodder from the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
