Joint Bioenergy Institute (JBEI), a US Department of Energy bioenergy research centre, is deploying the Genologics lab and integrated data management system for multiple sciences.
JBEI's mission is to advance the development of biofuels - liquid fuels derived from the solar energy stored in plant biomass.
Dr Paul Adams, vice-president of technology at JBEI, said: 'The Genologics solution has the capabilities we require to integrate data from different sciences and technologies, while tracking samples across multiple experiments and projects all in a single lab and data management system.
'The Genologics system will also allow us to easily generate reports showing data from multiple sciences and automate our data pipelining for integrated analysis.' Genologics lab and data management systems are customised for individual research organisations.
Pre-configured integrations across many instruments, combined with the Genologics reporting engine, means the system will improve the data quality and integrated analysis JBEI needs.
JBEI is a scientific partnership based in Emeryville, California, led by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and includes the Sandia National Laboratories, the University of California campuses of Berkeley and Davis, the Carnegie Institution for Science and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
