ES Technology is offering Univet's range of intense pulsed light (IPL) safety frames.
IPL is used as a cheaper alternative to laser hair removal.
It is based on a Xenon flash lamp and focusing optics.
IPL technology uses full spectrum (non-coherent) light together with low range infrared radiation which is filtered to produce a specified range of wavelengths.
This filtered light is then delivered to the skin using a handheld wand, with the intense light travelling through the skin until it strikes the shaft or root of the hair.
At this point the light energy is converted to heat energy and the hair root and shaft are instantly vaporised.
Univet's IPL eyewear incorporates features such as: over moulded terminal tips, a soft rubber nose bridge, a wrap-around shape and a ventilation system.
The eyewear is available in different frame styles, frame colours and lens shades.
