Scienion has appointed Dr Guenter Bauer as chief business officer.
The focus of his responsibilities will be sales and marketing.
Bauer is a senior business and technology development manager with scientific background and a track record in establishing and developing businesses in the drug discovery market for automated detection systems and services to industry and academia.
After starting his industry career at BASF, he joined Evotec, where he held senior management positions and was appointed as chief business officer for the subsidiary Evotec Technologies.
After Evotec Technologies was acquired by PerkinElmer, he served the successor company PerkinElmer Cellular Technologies Germany as director of business collaboration.
