RTS Life Science will be sponsoring the 'Nowgen Practical Biobanking: An Intensive Course' being held 16-19 February 2009 in Manchester, UK.
The course is designed for both biobank sponsors and researchers looking to establish and maintain a successful biological sample resource.
The emphasis of the course will be on the practical aspects of establishing and running a liquid and tissue Biobank and includes: an optional practical laboratory day on DNA extraction and quantification techniques; talks from leading liquid and tissue biobanking scientists; discussion and networking forums; a tour of major biobanking facilities; and a robotic automation workshop at RTS Life Sciences.
The workshop at RTS on 18 February will offer attendees the opportunity to interact with the RTS automated blood fractionation (ABF) platform and its A2 and A3-Smartstore automated sample storage systems.
RTS will also discuss the benefits of using automation for both processes.
