Microbiologics has combined its expertise with Pharmaceutical Resource Associates (PRA) and together, they have developed a product line that will allow laboratories to demonstrate and document analyst competency for a variety of microbiological and chemical tests.
These are now available in the UK through authorised distributor Technopath.
Laboratory personnel analyse the blind sample and enter results on the PRA website.
After receipt of the results, PRA performs a statistical evaluation, reports pass/fail results, and issues certificates for successful performance.
Current tests available include: water quality testing - total organic carbon cat; water quality testing - conductivity; water quality testing - total and fecal coliform; water quality testing - fecal streptococcus; water quality testing - isolate identification; antimicrobial effectiveness testing; microbial limit testing cat; environmental monitoring isolate identification - fungus; and environmental monitoring isolate identification - bacterium.
