Sebia UK is celebrating the placement of its 50th automated capillary electrophoresis instrument at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire.
Capillarys and Minicap are fully automated systems with the capability for a range of tests.
Capillarys has a continuous sample feed that can process up to 80 samples per hour, making it suitable for use in high throughput laboratories.
Specifically developed to meet the needs of smaller clinical diagnostic laboratories, Minicap is based on the same technology as Capillarys but with a more compact design.
Minicap can process up to 22 samples per hour and holds two reagents to allow flexible switching between assays.
Migration temperature is precisely controlled in both instruments to ensure accurate and reproducible results.
Very small samples are needed and with direct protein detection there is no requirement for staining.
The total automation of Capillarys and Minicap guarantees consistency and allows busy laboratories to optimise workloads.
