More than 200 British companies will showcase their products and services at Achema 2009, in Frankfurt.
The exhibition, which takes place every three years in May, covers oil and gas processing, power generation, base chemicals, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
There will be 4,000 exhibitors in halls spanning 140,000m2 and a congress offering a programme of more than 900 lectures focusing on industry developments.
Among 180,000 visitors from 100 countries, Achema attracts 1,000 journalists from the technical and trade press.
Paul Carter, delegate for Dechema for the UK and Ireland, said: 'The contingent of UK exhibitors includes major FTSE-listed companies supporting their worldwide marketing and distribution, as well as small start-up firms seeking links with global partners or licensees.
'Whatever their size, all will gain benefits from their presence at Achema and, with the pound weak at the moment, there are exceptional opportunities for exporters in 2009,' he added.
Achema 2009 is supported by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) under its Tradeshow Access Programme, as well as a range of trade associations and institutes, such as Gambica, BVAA and IChemE.
The UK exhibitors provide goods and services from various sectors, including: pumps and valves; thermal and mechanical processing; pharmaceutical manufacture and packaging; process automation; general engineering; and laboratory and analytical techniques.
Laboratorytalk and sister site Processingtalk will be present at the show.
