Chrombyte has introduced MSDExcel, a Microsoft Excel add-in that imports quantitative results data for multiple samples from the Agilent MSD Chemstation into Excel 2002-2007.
Unlike similar products, MSDExcel works independently from Chemstation, meaning it is not tied to any particular version and can be installed on any PC running Excel.
MSDExcel creates a database in an Excel workbook, consisting of tables in multiple worksheets.
Each table can contain multiple result parameters for a single compound or a single result parameter for multiple compounds.
The user can select which parameters and compounds are included and how the data is arranged.
No templates are required and the inclusion of the database in a workbook does not affect the other data or functions of that workbook.
Once created, the database is not set in stone, compounds and parameters can be added or removed without affecting existing data.
In the majority of cases, most raw sample data is analysed using a single data-analysis method, but if more than one method is used to produce several sets of results for one set of raw data, MSDExcel can combine them into a single record in the database.
MSDExcel is simple to use and has full context-sensitive help.
Chrombyte can customise MSDExcel to individual customer requirements.
