26 October 2009 - Eurogentec has announced a final agreement for the acquisition of Anaspec.
Anaspec's founders and senior management will remain at the company in leading roles in continuing to grow Anaspec's businesses, further expanding the high-value detection reagents focus and facilitating integration with Eurogentec.
Eurogentec intends to maintain the company's Fremont facility, to which Anaspec recently moved operations, and its employees. 25 March 2009 - Anaspec's Clearpoint Peptides have won Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Best New Product Award in the Biological Samples and Reagents category.
By spiking protein tryptic digests with internal heavy-isotope labelled peptide standards, mass spectrometry becomes an absolute quantitation (AQUA) method.
Clearpoint peptides feature a choice of heavy hydrogen (2H), carbon (13C) or nitrogen (15N)-isotopes specifically labelled at single, multiple or universal positions.
Clearpoint peptides are suitable for absolute protein quantitation.
Cambridge Healthtech Institute presented the award to Anaspec at its Molecular Medicine Tri-Conference, which was held in San Francisco from 25-27 February.
