The Optronics Microcast HD Studio, a complete digital HD imaging solution offering cinematic microscope visualisation, documentation and recording, is available from Grafton Optical.
The Microcast HD Studio features a digital camera system that delivers colour accuracy, detail and depth perception of microscope images at 60 frames per second.
Images created with the 1920 x1080p 60 standard are capable of emulating 3D views.
The images generated by Microcast HD Studio can be captured in full high-definition Jpeg still image files or recorded as Mpeg-4 video.
The image and video files are saved directly to any compatible USB mass storage devices.
No computer or software is required.
With embedded printer drivers, the Microcast HD Studio can print directly from the camera.
A compatible HP or Sony printer can be plugged into the system and prints can be generated immediately.
The Microcast HD Studio features on-screen menus and a keypad interface that requires very little training.
The system comes with a choice of 3m or 10m removable interconnect cable to connect the head to the camera system control unit, thus enabling the latter to be routed away from the microscope optics.
Suitable for use with all leading microscopes, Microcast HD Studio can be used in a variety of microscope imaging applications including HD co-observation, visualisation and documentation in ophthalmic, neuro, ENT, spinal and dental microsurgery and in pathology conference rooms.
Microcast HD Studio is distributed and supported by Grafton Optical in the UK.
