The automation-friendly flask is fitted with a central magnetic stir paddle that is intended to maximise nutrient flow and minimise dead volume.
It features a tear-drop shape that breaks up laminar flow and allows for uninterrupted aspiration while spinning.
According to the company, Matrimix enhances throughput and reduces the risk of contamination by eliminating the multiple wash steps between culture transfers.
The flask offers media capacity of 75uL to 1,000mL (2.5oz to 32oz).
Matrimix is compatible with the Matrical automated cell culture system (MACCS) and standalone reagent dispensers.
