Agilent Automation Solutions has brought out the Vertical Pipetting Station, which provides fast performance for demanding sample-handling and liquid-transfer applications.
The Agilent Vertical Pipetting Station features a choice of easily interchangeable eight-, 16-, 96- and 384-channel heads.
A high precision two-axis positioning stage provides access to all quadrants of 96-, 384- and 1536-well microplates.
The Vertical Pipetting Station features eight pneumatic sliding shelves arranged on either side of the pipette head, permitting access to plates while conserving deck space.
The shelves can be custom fitted with vacuum manifolds (to position warped PCR microplates), autofilling reagent shelves or a tip-washing station.
A user interface allows the operator to create and run complex pipetting protocols with ease.
The Vertical Pipetting Station is powered by the Agilent VWorks Automation Control software - the outstanding dynamic scheduling, easy-to-use interface and error-recover technology of which allow complete control for all levels of operators.
Users have control over volume-calibration factors, pipette speeds and accelerations, tip touching and fine control over the motion of the head and tips into and out of labware.
Available either as a stand-alone unit or integrated into a larger robotic platform, the Vertical Pipetting Station will reduce cycle times for demanding pipette protocols.
