Innova Biosciences has introduced the Lightning-Link Atto 610 as part of a new generation of fluorescent labels for the red spectral region.
The Atto 610 has two absorption peaks - one at 575nm (with an extinction coefficient of 1.5 x 105 M-1 cm-1) and another at 620nm.
When excited at 575nm, it has a strong fluorescence emission with its maximum at 640nm.
The launch of the Atto 610 extends the Lightning-Link portfolio to 44 different labels.
Lightning-Link technology is intended to enable high-quality antibody conjugates to be made on any scale (from micrograms to milligrams) and with minimal hands-on time (less than 30 seconds).
When the antibody is added to a tube of Lightning-Link mix, the label becomes covalently attached to the antibody in a gentle controlled process.
There is no need for any separation steps, meaning that antibody recovery is 100 per cent, according to the company.
