Applied Cytometry has announced that its product specialist, Gillian Byrne, will speak at the inaugural Aberdeen Cytometry Meeting.
The meeting will be held at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Foresterhill, Aberdeen on 19-20 May 2009.
Byrne will showcase the company's latest product at the two-day event, in a presentation entitled 'Venturione Offline Data Analysis Software - Making Flow Faster; Explore Your Data With Venturione', at 10.05 (BST) on Wednesday 20 May.
The meeting in Aberdeen will focus on technologies and methods involving cytometry, including stem-cell research, microbiology cytometry, immunology, multicolour cytometry, cell sorting, quantum dot technology and data analysis tools.
Following an overview of therapeutic treatments using flow cytometry on the first day of the conference, Byrne will speak on the second day of the event, which will focus on the 'Tools and Tips for FACS Acquisitions and Analysis'.
During this presentation, she will give an overview of Applied Cytometry, its pedigree, capabilities and products, demonstrating the latest version of flow cytometry data analysis software, Venturione v3.
Designed to handle very large amounts of data, the software can analyse up to 400 files concurrently in less than 10 seconds and produces enhanced reports.
Venturione can manage the vast majority of a laboratory's routine workload, making it suitable for both large and small-scale in-depth research projects.
