Woodley Equipment has added the MRP-5000 Professional to its offering of Vision microscopes.
The MRP-5000 Professional is suitable for extensive use in clinical and research settings.
It provides five objectives and an interchangeable condenser system that applies to bright field, phase contrast and dark field techniques.
The lower position of the mechanical stage knob offers comfort for extended use.
The MRP-5000 features: a 45-degree binocular Seidentopf head that can be rotated by 360-degrees; a pair of 10X widefield eyepieces, with an interpupillary distance adjustment of 55-75mm; five DIN achromatic parfocal and parcentered objectives, backwards mounted: 4X (NA 0.10), 10X (NA 0.25), 40X (NA 0.65), 60XR (NA 0.90), 100XR Oil (NA 1.25); magnification of 40 to 1000X; focusing stop to prevent objectives and slides from damage; 140 x 135mm graduated mechanical stage (range of travel 40 x 80mm) with lower knobs of coaxial drive; spring-loaded slide holder; Abbe condenser NA 1.25 with rack and pinion adjustment; iris diaphragm with blue filter; a field diaphragm that offers more light control; coaxial coarse and fine-focusing tension controls; variable intensity halogen illuminator, 6V 20W; replacement bulb, fuse and immersion oil; and dust cover.
It measures 25.4 x 20.3 x 42cm and weighs 5kg.
It is CE certified.
The MRP-5000 can also be upgraded: dual view (MRP-5000D), ideal for one-on-one teaching; trinocular (MRP-5000T), suitable for a camera attachment; cordless (with rechargeable base unit); 20X objective instead of 60X objective; a plan achromatic objective set; a simple-phase contrast set - 10X, 40X, 100X; a turret annular phase contrast kit - 4X, 10X, 20X, 40X, 100X; and a dark field condenser.
Vision microscopes are equipped with precision DIN optics (Deutsche Industrie Normen, a recognised universal industry standard for microscope objectives).
Buying the QBC Paralens System allows any Vision microscope to be converted to a fluorescence microscope, inexpensively and as easily as changing an objective, enabling fast, accurate detection and quantification of malaria, tuberculosis, trypanosomes and other blood-borne parasites.
