Gast has introduced a range of oil-less rocking pistons for providing compressed air.
In particular, their lightweight design makes them ideal for body-fluid analysis equipment, for which pressure and vacuum are required from a single compressor.
Here, pressure operates the small cylinders that move blood, urine or other body fluids through the machine, and vacuum transports liquid samples and reagents.
The rocking piston range - which is available in standard, twin and miniature styles - is available with air flow rates to 9.35m3/h (3.4lpm to 5.5cfm), vacuum capacities to 31mbar (29in Hg) and pressures up to 12 bar (175psig).
Corrosion-resistant and tank models are available with a range of recommended accessories.
Bespoke versions can also be manufactured to special order for OEM quantities.
For worldwide applications, dual-frequency, shaded-pole and permanent split capacitor (psc) electric motors with AC multi-voltages are also available.
And brush and brushless DC models are available in six, 12 and 24V formats, with horsepower for both AC and DC models ranging from 0.04 to 0.37 kW (1/20 to 1/2HP).
