HEL offers an automated parallel crystallisation platform - a customised workstation that uses proprietary 'reflectance' light detection technology to give solubility and MSZW data.
The Crystalscan system is based on HEL's parallel synthesis platform, Polyblock, which is a versatile multi-zone reaction block, offered with four or eight reactors with independent stirring and temperature-controlled zones.
Features and benefits include: a user can obtain accurate solubility and MSZW data; automated dilution/solvent addition; four or eight samples in parallel; interchangeable sample sizes, from 2ml to 350ml; a temperature range of -80C to +250C; a stirrer design to prevent crystal damage; and measurements can be made in both clear and dark/coloured solutions.
Without any alteration in set-up HEL's winISO software with pre-defined test procedures enables the user to simply complete an input table for fully automated testing.
Raw temperature and turbidity data is displayed graphically as the experiment proceeds.
The proprietary iQ software also allows easy interactive data analysis and plotting, ultimately producing a complete MSZW plot, making the Crystalscan results scalable and reproducible.
