Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced a new thermostat option for its line of Thermo Scientific temperature control systems, which will be showcased at the ACS Fall 2009 Exposition.
The company said users can now match an Advanced or Standard series thermostat with the appropriate heated or refrigerated bath to meet specific application requirements, assuring quality results while saving expense.
The Advanced series of thermostats provides all the features of the Standard series of thermostats plus multi-level turbulence controls, programmable application temperature alarms, user-selected automatic shut-off protection and additional capabilities.
The company said that the added functionality makes the thermostats ideal for closed- and open-loop applications, chemical reaction management, rotary evaporators and spectroscopy.
All Thermo Scientific temperature control systems feature a new user interface and quick-start guide for easy set-up and operation.
The product line, which comprises the Sahara series (heated bath circulators), Arctic series (refrigerated bath circulators) and Glacier series (ultra-low refrigerated circulators) is UL/CSA compliant for safe operation and is covered by a three-year warranty.
