'Good Weighing Practices in the Pharmaceutical Industry: A Risk-Based Guideline' is a one-day course developed by USP, in association with Mettler Toledo.
During the course, attendees will learn how to manage weighing systems and how to stay out of trouble with the auditors.
Other subjects covered include: how to control and test balances; live demonstrations on how to handle environmental influences on the balance; and understanding what auditors pay attention to and how to avoid common compliance pitfalls.

It will offer information on how to develop and execute procedures associated with sound routine operations and maintenance programs.
The course is suitable for quality control chemists and managers, compliance managers, laboratory managers and production managers within the pharmaceutical industry.
Course topics include: specification and assessment of balance properties; weighing uncertainty and minimum weight; balance qualification according to general chapter; live demonstration of external influences on weighing and their prevention; and risk-based routine operation and testing of weighing systems.
