International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) has selected the Tibco Spotfire Enterprise Analytics Platform to provide business insight into its research data.
With Tibco Spotfire, IFF can interpret its data in a more meaningful way, share those vital findings with its internal and external audiences and identify new business opportunities.
Lana Glazman, who is in charge of the sensory and consumer research department at IFF, said: 'Prior to implementing Tibco Spotfire, we had to draw our research data from lots of different sources and we were losing valuable time handling it once it was located.
'Not only was this a very labour-intensive process, but we were unable to exploit the data fully.
'It's imperative that we're able to fully maximise our research findings and leverage them in the most meaningful way, not only for our business, but also for our internal and external clients for whom our data is vital in their own product development and business decisions.' Glazman's team was hugely impressed by the ease of adoption of the Tibco Spotfire Enterprise Analytics Platform and how user-friendly it proved to be.
IFF has offices around the world and plans to leverage the new BI platform globally across the organisation.
The first phase of this implementation took place in June 2009 among the company's consumer research user base and has already freed up a significant amount of time for its users.
