The UK Resource Centre for women in science, engineering and technology has launched its gender equality award.
The award is part of a portfolio designed to help women, businesses and organisations working in the science, engineering and technology arenas.
The SET Fair Standard was launched at an event at London's BT Tower where delegates were given presentations by: Halcrow chief executive officer, Peter Gammie; president of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Jean Venables; director of BT Centre People's Networks, Caroline Waters; and UKRC director, Annette Williams.
Awarded at three levels - committed, achieving and outstanding - the SET Fair Standard is customised for corporate and large organisations; small and medium-sized organisations; professional institutions; research facilities and councils; employer members organisations (such as Sector Skills Councils); colleges and places of further education.
