1 December 2009 - For 15 years, Netzsch Analyzing and Testing and Bruker Optics have been providing customers with a combination of two analysis techniques: TG and FT-IR.
The coupling of thermogravimetry (TG) and Fourier-Transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy is said to provide users with additional benefit and significant gain in information.
While thermogravimetry yields information regarding characteristics and thermal stability of materials, FT-IR spectroscopy is an established method for indentifying substances and quantifying sample components.
The combination of both techniques is said to open up new possibilities for analysing macroscopic material characteristics on molecular level.
