Symyx Technologies has announced a web seminar that describes and demonstrates the benefits of a new subscription-based electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) hosting service.
The web seminar will take place on 8 December 2009 and is aimed at scientists, laboratory managers and IT personnel supporting scientific informatics.
Symyx Technologies said ELNs drive consistent processes, improve productivity, protect intellectual property and satisfy regulatory compliance.
There is an opportunity for organisations to access a subscription-based ELN hosting service that supports collaboration across research teams, reduces ELN cost of ownership, and removes the infrastructure needed to install and maintain an ELN.
The complimentary 45-minute web seminar has been designed to instruct participants how to easily record, find, report, reuse and share experiments using an ELN, without the hassles of managing the hardware, software, licenses, and backups on-site.
Participants will learn how an ELN improves individual and team productivity; how a hosted ELN reduces start-up time, minimises costs and streamlines processes; and how security issues are addressed in a hosted system.
