Andor Technology has announced the support for all Andor imaging EMCCD cameras within JPK Instruments products for nano-biotechnology.
With the addition of support for Andor's high-performance EMCCD cameras to the JPK software, true integration is obtained between fluorescence imaging and JPK's Nanowizard AFM imaging or Nanotracker optical tweezers.
Scientists using JPK's Directoverlay functionality can now directly use the images coming from their Andor EMCCD cameras.
As an example, single molecule fluorescence detection and high-resolution AFM imaging of single DNA-bound proteins is an application that can benefit from the combination of imaging products from these companies.
Existing JPK customers already owning an Andor EMCCD camera can upgrade their JPK system by purchasing a license for the Andor Linux software development kit (SDK), as well as the Andor driver for JPK's camera software.
With the inclusion of full support for Ixon+ EMCCD cameras from Andor Technology, JPK Instruments paves the way for fully integrated AFM and single-molecule fluorescence applications.
