Metrohm's ion chromatographic (IC) method for the determination of sulphite and other anions in wine features the 881 Compact IC with a tri-chamber microcapillary suppressor.
The system simplifies the sample preparation part and allows any wine lab to test levels of critical anions.
Simply dilute the wine sample one to four and filter using a 0.45 micron filter prior to the injection on to an A Supp 10 column; all anions of interest will come out in less than 12 minutes.
The method can be used for the determination of chloride, nitrate, phosphate, sulphite and sulphate.
Sulphite, which is typically unstable under standard conditions, produced accurate and reproducible results.
The 881 IC System comes with a three-year warranty and the suppressor comes with a 10-year warranty.
All Metrohm systems are fully backed by an applications laboratory support team.
