4 December 2009 - Invitrogen, part of Life Technologies, has announced the opening of a facility in Warrington, UK, which will supply freshly isolated human hepatocytes to researchers in Europe.
Human hepatocytes isolated from liver tissue are used for many biopharmaceutical applications, by researchers investigating liver diseases, and by scientists in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors trying to predict a compound's effect on enzyme metabolism in the liver.
