Metrohm is offering the Applikon ADI2045 VA Process Analyser for online voltammetry.
It is able to analyse in highly ionic solutions, such as sea water or effluent, and is said to be significantly cheaper than ICP and AAS.
It requires minimal running costs and does not require combustible gases or lamps.
It does not require calibration for the majority of analyses and the standard-addition methodology virtually eliminates matrix interferences.
The analyser can analyse electro-active non metals such as anions and organics, differentiate oxidation states (speciation) and differentiate between free and bound metal ions to determine bio-availability.
Multiple ions can be tested in one run and detection limits are down to the ppb range and ppt for some ions.
