The ICR is joining forces with the National Research Ethics Service (NRES) to hold a joint training day on 7 January, 2010, discussing Medical Device Research Ethics Committee (REC) applications.
The event, to be held at the ICR's UK headquarters in Buckinghamshire, aims to help those conducting medical-device studies complete research-ethics documentation.
Insight will be provided into ethical issues and the seminar will bring together medical-device applicants and REC representatives to promote better understanding of each other's requirements.
Facilitating the event will be Hugh Davies, research-ethics adviser to NRES; David Neal, deputy director for policy at NRES; and Janette Benaddi, ICR's chair and chief executive officer of event sponsor, Medvance Clinical Research.
