Metrohm's 857 Titrando with Itrodes and Iconnect guarantees traceability to each component involved in titration.
Metrohm's Itrodes come with a built-in chip that stores important sensor data such as article and serial numbers, calibration data, calibration history, working life and calibration validity period.
All sensor data is read in automatically when the Itrode is connected to the 857 Titrando.
A unique feature of Metrohm's 857 Titrando is that the measuring amplifier is no longer built into the instrument.
Instead, the analogue-to-digital conversion of the measuring signal is achieved by the 854 Iconnect, which is connected directly to the electrode head.
Digitising the analogue measuring signal at the sensor means it is no longer susceptible to electrostatic influences, no matter how long the electrode cable is.
With the 854 Iconnect, the sensor and the measuring amplifier are always calibrated together and the calibration data is stored on the intelligent electrode.
Because the measuring amplifier is not built into the instrument, the electrode and the 854 Iconnect can be used together with different titrators.
This means the calibration procedure is no longer specific to a particular instrument.
