The Institute of Clinical Research has announced that it is holding a joint event with the Scientific Archivists Group, highlighting the field of archiving and how best to manage the process.
The joint meeting, entitled 'Archiving Advice - Keeping the Records Straight', is being held at the Institute of Clinical Research's (ICR) headquarters in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, on 11 February 2010.
It will be led by Liz Hooper, an archiving and records management consultant at Phlexglobal.
Hooper will open the meeting along with Chris Jones, chair of the Scientific Archivists Group (SAG), who will introduce the work of the group to delegates.
In addition, a number of industry speakers will present on different aspects of the archiving process, including the destruction of documents and an overview of the e-technologies available.
The ICR's meeting with SAG is the first in a series of joint events being held throughout 2010 in association with other healthcare-related groups and sister organisations, intended to give members greater insight into a range of specialist topics.
