The Air-in-Space Immunair iso system, available from Tristel, combines the Air-in-Space Plasmair T2006 mobile air-decontamination system with the company's Mobile Deployable Plenum (MDP) chamber.
This room-in-room concept delivers 99.999 per cent single-pass microbial elimination with fast airflow kinetics.
It provides clean and safe decontaminated air diffused in an easy-to-deploy system.
The new space-saving MDP incorporates fully integrated lighting and a removable television and electric box to create an environment that is safe and comfortable for patients.
Based on technology used in NASA's International Space Station, the Immunair iso solution is ideal for high-risk areas such as operating theatres, intensive-care units, and haematology and transplantation wards housing immuno-compromised patients vulnerable to opportunistic infections such as aspergillosis.
Immunair iso also benefits from the Plasmair's Hepa-MD (High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance - Microbial Destruction) reactor, which incorporates three-in-one modular-decontamination technology.
Third-party studies have indicated the system is capable of abating 90 per cent of an airborne contamination peak in four minutes at 500m3/h, or two minutes at 1100m3/h, and sustaining extremely high biological cleanliness levels for both total flora (less than 10CFU/m3) and fungi (less than 1CFU/m3).
The system is self-contained and offers flexible positioning of the air-decontamination unit and real-time control of operational parameters.
