Metrohm has optimised its rotating Pt-disk electrode for cyclic voltammetric stripping (CVS) applications.
The electrode is said to permit even faster measurements without compromising on accuracy.
It has a platinum diameter of 1mm and has been developed specifically for use in CVS analyses.
It can also be used in research for recording cyclic voltammograms (CV).
The electrode is particularly recommended for users who want to accelerate their measuring procedures without comprising on accuracy.
Rapid conditioning means that little time is lost on preparation steps.
The electrode is said to offer good reproducibility of the measurements and resistance to concentrated acids, oxidants and organic solvents.
Each electrode comes with its own individual quality certificate.
The test cyclic voltammogram contained in the certificate is a fingerprint of the electrode at the time of delivery.
It can be compared at any time, with a currently recorded cyclic voltammogram, therefore allowing the current condition of the electrode to be assessed The electrode can be used with existing methods without any problems, according to Metrohm.
Minor adaptations only need to be made to existing CPVS methods in order to get the usual results.
All other methods can be transferred directly.
