Applikon Analytical and Metrohm have introduced the Alert Ion Analyzer for potassium analysis in a range of aqueous matrices.
Using the Dynamic Standard Addition (DSA) methodology to remove interferences and validate each and every result as correct, the analyser is suitable for analysis of potassium in the range 5-150mg/l.
The measuring range can be adjusted by changing the concentration of the standard solution used in DSA and calibration to give a working range between 5mg/l and 10g/l.
Reagent consumption requires 2ml of buffer and 1ml of standard per analysis, and pump tubes require replacement at six-monthly intervals.
The Alert Ion Analyzer for Sodium is available in single- or dual-stream versions as standard and can be further enhanced with the ADI Multistream Unit to add up to six sample streams.
Additional hardware, such as sample conditioning and housing, is available for a complete package from the takeoff point.
