Fritsch has launched the Analysette 22 Microtec Plus, a laser particle analyser that offers an extra-wide measuring range of 0.08um up to 2,000um.
It is also said to offer high resolution and sensitivity, and marginal space requirements.
The Analysette 22 Microtec Plus has been designed as a practical, modular system with units for dry and wet dispersion or for combination with a small-volume wet dispersion unit.
When switching between wet and dry measurement, the measuring cell, which is located in a practical cartridge, can be easily exchanged without changing any hoses or modifying the instrument.
The cartridge not in use can be stored within the dispersion unit.
The Analysette 22 Microtec Plus is a universally applicable instrument for the determination of the particle size distribution of dry solids.
It is suitable for utilisation in quality and process control.
The company said that due to the flexible programmability of the dispersion and measuring process, it is also suitable for research and development.
The instrument is ideal for measuring powdery samples in an accelerated air flow and is suitable for sample volumes of less than 1cm3 to approximately 100cm3.
Other advantages include: degradation of agglomerates with a special annular gap Venturi nozzle; high-frequency feeder (hard-anodised) for continuous and residue-free sample feeding; automatic computer-controlled adjustment of the dispersion pressure; freely programmable, fully automatic measurement processes; fast and easy to clean; multifunctional exhaust system for automatic sample exhaustion during the measurement and for cleaning (for example, of surplus sample material) after the measurement.
The Fritsch MAS control software, which is delivered with every laser particle sizer, is said to guarantee simple operation, open programmability for maximum flexibility, fast and efficient cleaning as well as many other advantages.
