Advanced Biomatrix has announced that it is offering Purecol, formerly Vitrogen or Vitrogen-100, a widely used collagen product.
'Purecol and Vitrogen is the same product - only the name of the product has been changed,' said David Bagley, president of Advanced Biomatrix.
Purecol is a 3mg/ml collagen solution with approximately 97 per cent Type I collagen and the remainder of the collagen comprising of Type III collagen.
This product consists of soluble atelo-collagen in 0.01 N HCI with a pH of approximately 2.0, Purecol is suitable for the coating of surfaces, providing preparation of thin layers for culturing cells, or use as a solid gel.
The product is provided in 100ml volumes and is contained in user-friendly packaging for use and storage.
Purecol is sterile filtered and is supplied as a ready-to-use solution.
