Malvern Instruments will showcase technologies from its range of complementary material characterisation solutions at the American Chemical Society (ACS) Spring 2010 National Meeting and Exposition.
At the event, which will be held on 21-25 March in San Francisco, California, the company will showcase the Viscotek TDAmax multiple detection gel permeation chromatography (GPC) system, the Kinexus rotational rheometer, Zetasizer particle characterisation systems and the Mastersizer 2000 laser-diffraction particle-size analyser.
Visitors will also be able to explore other Malvern systems through interactive displays.
Company specialists will be available throughout the show on Booth 426 to advise on individual material characterisation challenges.
Malvern's Viscotek TDAmax multiple-detection GPC/size-exclusion-chromatography (SEC) system combines data from light scattering, ultraviolet, refractive index (RI) and viscometer detection to efficiently measure absolute molecular weight and molecular size, as well as to provide information about molecular structure that is not accessible with more traditional systems.
The TDAmax enables protein scientists to determine the degree of oligomerisation, aggregation, conformation and conjugation in protein samples.
For polymer scientists, it delivers information for sensitive-product quality control and process optimisation.
The Zetasizer series includes systems that measure particle size, zeta potential and molecular weight.
The measurement technology and patented optics built into Zetasizer Nano systems, for example, make them equally applicable to characterising high-concentration colloids and nanoparticles of all types through to the measurement of dilute proteins and macromolecules in their native state.
Kinexus is a new rheometer platform; with its intuitive user interface, SOP-driven analysis and hardware, Kinexus makes it easier to access high-quality, relevant rheological data for formulation development and QC.
