Dr Hanna Jankevics, product technical specialist at Malvern Instruments, is to present the latest in light scattering methodologies for protein and peptide characterisation at the Peptide Conference.
The 2010 Peptide Conference is set to take place at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre in Cambridge, UK, on 30-31 March.
Jankevics's talk, entitled 'Light Scattering for Protein and Peptide Characterisation' is part of the Tuesday morning's Labelling and Characterisation session.
Malvern Instruments' Zetasizer range incorporates light scattering techniques that offer high sensitivity and versatility for the measurement of hydrodynamic size, zeta potential and molecular weight of proteins and peptides.
The Zetasizer uV, for example, may be used to determine the presence of aggregates; screen for optimum crystallisation conditions; and study oligomer formation with as little as 2uL of sample, requiring nanograms of material - making it ideal for the study of proteins.
