GE Healthcare has launched the Nanovue Plus spectrophotometer for the rapid and accurate quantification of nucleic acids and protein samples.
It can measure volumes as low as 0.5ul due to the 'drop and measure' sample plate, and does not require cuvettes or capillaries.
The Nanovue Plus features the latest sample plate for the Nanovue spectrophotometers.
This plate has enhanced compatibility with a range of chemicals and sample types.
The plate is hydrophobic, which enables easy sample recovery and cleaning, helping to prevent carry-over between measurements.
The built-in software provides an interface with drop-down lists that include methods for measuring common fluors, including the full Cydye range.
Researchers can also choose from a range of storage methods and data-output options, such as integrated printer option, Print-Via-Computer software, optional wireless connectivity and SD card accessory.
Recalibration of Nanovue Plus can be done easily in the lab by the scientists themselves.
Other features include: standalone instrument with small footprint and without PC; wavelength range from 200-1,100nm; 90 user-defined methods can be stored with password protection; the sample plate, SD card reader and latest software can be fitted onto existing Nanovue instruments.
