Integra Biosciences has released an online video that demonstrates the safety-certified Fireboy Bunsen burner.
The video, available to view on the Fireboy website, leads viewers through the user-friendly set-up and operation the Bunsen burner offers, as well as its safety features and application capabilities.
In addition, the video shows how flame monitoring and user-defined maximum burning time protect the user and the operating environment.
It also shows how the Fireboy can be optimised to suit the user's application in seconds due to the quick-coupling burner heads - a short burner head for flame sterilisation and a long burner head for boiling applications.
The safety-certified Fireboy offers high application safety by eliminating the risk of gas leakage and explosion inherent in using traditional Bunsen burners.
The new generation Fireboy from Integra is an intrinsically safe alternative to the traditional Bunsen burner connected to a laboratory gas supply.
Advanced temperature protection, flame monitor and alarm display features serve to protect both the user and operating environment.
To prevent un-ignited gas leakage, the Fireboy automatically tries to re-ignite the flame if it accidentally extinguishes.
If it fails to do so for any reason, the unit will interrupt the gas supply.
An automatic shutoff after a user-defined maximum burning time eliminates any danger if the unit is unintentionally left on.
The Fireboy operates from a range of gas cartridges and is powered from a battery.
