Malvern's latest laser-diffraction particle-size analyser is the Spraytec, which is suitable for fuel injectors, agrochemical nozzles, inhaled pharmaceuticals and coating systems.
With a data-acquisition rate of up to 10kHz, a broad dynamic range (0.1 to 2000 microns) and a patented multiple scattering algorithm for measurement at high concentrations, Spraytec delivers real-time characterisation for product optimisation and QC.
Easy instrument configuration and a wide optical working range make the characterisation of any spray system straightforward, while integral software provides effective data analysis, making it easier to detect and understand the source of any variability in atomisation performance.
The robust nature of Malvern's products is evident in the 2600 laser-diffraction particle-size analyser - which is still in use by many, 30 years after its introduction.
Malvern Instruments wants to contact anyone still using this analyser, which is capable of routine, rapid-spray droplet-size measurements.
For the chance to win an Ipad, users are invited to bring a photo of their 2600 in use, to the Malvern booth at Ilass-Americas 2010 (16-19 May in Cincinnati, Ohio) or at Ilass Europe 2010 (6-8 September in Brno, Czech Republic).
Users not attending these conferences can email their photos to Malvern.
