Horiba Instruments and Innov-X Systems have announced that Horiba will market Innov-X's fluid analysers for applications analysing elemental content in petrochemical and hydrocarbon fluids.
Horiba will market the X-50 and X-5000 analysers as part of the companies' expanded partnership agreement.
The X-50/5000 analysers are said to combine the analytical power and safety of a closed-beam bench-top XRF system with battery operation portability.
The result is an XRF system that utilises either a silicon PiN diode (X-50) or silicon drift detector (X-5000) and a high-powered 50kV, 10W X-ray tube.
The X-5000 measures elements from Mg to U in a variety of hydrocarbon samples and petrochemical fluids, whereas the X-50 measures from S to U.
Both models feature a specially designed sample holder to consistently locate either bottles or XRF sample cups for fluid sample analysis.
The X-50/5000 product family is ideal for use in environmental, mining and mineral exploration and extending the agreement with Horiba enables Innov-X reach the petrochemical and hydrocarbon analysis markets.
