Sheldon Manufacturing has released an environmental workstation and incubator suitable for anaerobic conditions in microbiology and cell biology applications.
The Bacbasic workstation and incubator solution is targeted at life-sciences, university and clinical research laboratories.
The new ergonomically designed Shel Lab Bacbasic anaerobic chamber is designed with the clinical/research laboratory technician in mind by providing bare-handed access for delicate procedures, from unpacking material to inoculation, incubation, inspection and recovery, without compromising the required desired hypoxic atmosphere.
The Bacbasic also features an LCD control panel; a space-saving exterior; excellent lighting and visibility; a quick-entry gloveless sleeve system; a rapid auto purge pass fox for the introduction of Petri plates, specimens and supplies; an incubated storage capacity for up to 150 Petri plates; changeable anatox and catalyst packs with six-month usability; an incubation temperature range from ambient temperature to 42C; a removable front for the placement of large instruments inside the chamber; and a stainless-steel construction.
The Bacbasic, designed to optimise limited laboratory workspaces, has a minimal exterior footprint and can be relocated easily.
It can serve as an auxiliary chamber option for over-flow work, extra plate storage and emergency back-up to a primary chamber.
