Digital Healthcare, a supplier of software to support diabetic retinal screening programmes, has won a contract to supply its Optomize software to two district health boards in New Zealand.
Waitemata district health board (DHB) and Northland DHB are implementing Optomize to help support the provision of systematic retinal screening to around 25,000 diabetic patients served by the two DHBs.
The Optomize system manages all of the processes required to safely manage a screening programme, including: patient call/recall; clinic management; photography; grading; outcomes; correspondence; and reporting.
The software is said to offer a high level of user-friendliness, provides patients with an efficient and supportive service and allows screening programmes to manage and develop their service in a cost-effective and proactive manner to deliver quality care to their patient populations.
