Thermo Fisher Scientific has made a poster presentation entitled 'How Clean Are Your Vials and Closures?', demonstrating the effectiveness of pre-cleaning chromatography vials.
Following the launch of the National Scientific MS-certified pre-cleaned vials, data demonstrating the effectiveness of pre-cleaning was presented in the poster at HPLC 2010.
The MS-certified vials and various competitor vials were exposed to acetonitrile for two hours and subsequently analysed by LC/UV, LC/MS and GC/MS.
Resulting data showed no evidence of sample contamination using the National Scientific MS vials.
Cleaned and tested as standard, the low-particulate chromatography vials are cleaned in a GMP compliant, fully validated clean-room environment to minimise the occurrence of any contamination.
