Cambridge Sensotec has launched the Rapidox SF6 gas recovery bag, which enables users to collect SF6 from any compatible gas analyser, including the Rapidox SF6 multimeter.
SF6 is a monitored greenhouse gas that must be recycled or recovered, as stated in the Kyoto treaty.
The Rapidox SF6 gas recovery bag connects to the outlet nozzle of the multimeter and is filled as samples are taken.
It has a maximum volume of 80 litres, at standard pressure, which allows hours of testing, according to Cambridge Sensotec.
The recovery bag is durable and built using PVC nitrile, made with polyester tissue 100 DTEX of high tenacity and has a safety blow-off valve built in.
It is lightweight and portable, meaning samples can be taken quickly and efficiently from numerous sites, allowing the user to run a condition-based maintenance programme.
The contents of the bag can also be decanted into a permanent storage bottle.
