Axiope is launching the latest version of Ecat, its electronic lab notebook that allows research laboratories to add structure to research data in an integrated online environment.
The latest version, Ecat 3.3, incorporates changes based on pilot users' input.
It includes a familiar dashboard, the ability to import spreadsheets, images and documents, an extensive set of templates - experiments, antibodies, CHiP extracts and protocols - and a notifications system.
'We use Ecat as a catalogue and an information retrieval system,' said Prof Mike Shipston, director of the Centre for Integrative Physiology at the University of Edinburgh.
'We can keep catalogues of resources and protocols up to date and exchange this information between lab members,' he added.
