Hiden's new brochure details the Catlab integrated micro-reactor/mass spectrometer system for temperature programmed desorption (TPD), reduction (TPR), oxidation (TPO) and reaction (TPRx).
The system comprises two close-coupled modules optimised for continuous real-time analysis of catalytic activity, together with simultaneous evaluation of multiple reaction components, providing overall response times of less than 0.5 seconds and data-accumulation rates of up to 500 data points a second.
Operation is fully pre-programmable and automated, with total control of the temperature ramp rate and gas flow with up to eight gas streams.
The fast-response, low-thermal-mass furnace operates to 1,000C with ramp rates to 20C/min.
The mass spectrometer module may also be decoupled to provide standalone operation for general laboratory gas-analysis applications.
